Delhi Chalo!
Action 2007 is not an event but an idea and a long drawn process through sustained struggle towards collective national level people’s movement to challenge the imperialist design of the State.
The process of globalization leading to SEZs and other massive displacements and socio-cultural and political hegemony is further marginalizing the working class people and traditional craft persons, weavers, fisher people, farmers, dalits, women, minorities and adivasis/IPs, etc. People’s movements are fighting their battles in their own geo-political situations and on their own issues across India but the time has come to put forward a collective challenge to the State.
It is within this context, that, all those struggling for justice and equality and against such process of human rights violation have decided to come together and launch an indefinite struggle in Delhi from March 19 2007. Four sets of national level meetings have been held so far towards this including at Delhi (November 2006), Bhopal (December 2006), Nagpur (January 2007) and the biggest planning meet held at Sewagram, Wardha (8-11 February 2007).
